Hey everyone. I have a question about a budget gaming build I am working on. Tiger Direct currently has a Biostar bundle for 315 (plus a mail in rebate) right now, and I was thinking about getting that and dropping in a Radeon 5770 to complete my hardware portion of my comp for less than 450.

My actual question was about the power supply, and if it would get the job done as far as now killing my whole system. Here's a link to the Tiger Direct page:

http://www.tigerdirect.com/applications/SearchTools/item-details.asp?EdpNo=432485&sku=B69-0366

The actual bundle includes the following:

Biostar N68S3B GeForce Socket AM3 Motherboard
AMD Phenom II X4 805 2.50 GHz Quad Core OEM CPU
Patriot PGV38G1333ELK Gaming i5 8GB PC10666 RAM
Seagate 1TB SATA 3G Barracuda® Green Hard Drive
Cooler Master AM2 / AM3 CPU Cooler
Samsung SH-222AB/BEBE Internal DVD Writer OEM
Thermaltake V2 ATX Mid Tower Case with 450W PSU

Thanks for taking the time to look at my question.

I've used the TR2 430 Watt for a couple of builds, I think its a decent unit for the price, but not suitable for gaming builds. You might want to hold on to it because maybe a friend could use it.

Here's a couple of 500W units in the $50-60 range:

I put together this same bundle, all cables attached in place but nothing shows up on the screen when I turn on the unit. The VGA is properly attached and I also tried with a different monitor just in case. all cables where disconnected and re connected to be sure they were in place. The fan is on as I hear it and see it working. Can someone share some light please?
