GTS250m vs HD5570

Hi,

I am looking at a couple of systems which are identical (including price) apart from the GPU. The choices are Nvidia GTS 250m (1024mb) and the ATI Radeon HD 5570 (1024mb).

It is an all-in-one so power consumption isn't really an issue... any comments about which you would choose will be greatly appreciated!

(I think it is old stock with the GTS250m, and the later stock has the HD5570)

I have a 5570 installed in my rig and I'm pretty sure a 250 is a much more powerful card.

A Geforce Gts 250m has 96 cores and 128bit interface so its like a gt 240 which is faster than hd 5570 and competes with hd 5670.gts 250m wins here.

I had a look at this site, and it gave PassMark G3D scores as follows:

HD 5570 = 760 ranked #120
GTS 250m = 657 ranked #151
(GTS 250 = 1069 ranked #70)

It would seem the HD5570 gives 15% better performance than the 250m?

quick question. are getting a laptop or dekstop? the parts with 'm' suffix is for nvidia mobile graphic. HD5570 and GTS250 are discrete
