HELP MID END BUDGET FOR CPU !

hey guys. i hope some people would help me.
im a filippino living here in abu dhabi u.a.e
i was thinking about getting a new cpu.
budget is around 2500-3000d.h.s i prefer amd parts. and i dont have any idea what i parts is good and where to buy it. is 3000dhs enough for a mid range gaming cpu ? thanks in advance guys.

Well it's hard with so little info given. Since you prefer AMD parts, I would advise you to grab the Phenom II x4 955 (Black Edition for easy overclocking) and a AM3+ motherboard. The Phenom II x4 955 won't bottleneck you at mid range gaming. The AM3+ motherboard allows you to use future AM3+ CPU along with previous gen AM3. You will be able to upgrade without purchasing a new board. As for AM3+ motherboard, I would choose between ASRock, ASUS, and MSI. Gigabyte is fine but their bios is old. You can go for Biostar if you're strapped for cash :) Hope this helps you.
 
If you 'don't have any idea' which parts are good, then why have a preference for AMD?

That aside, the Phenom II X4 955 (as suggested above) is indeed a common choice these days in AMD- based budget rigs, despite the fact the i3-2100 will usually outperform it for the same price...

currently guys i have a dell laptop n5010 core i3 2.27ghz 4gb ddr3 ati mobility hd 5000 series. cause i heard alot of people preffering amd products for gaming rather than intel thanks for the info
