Nvidia gtx 470 temperatures

That idle temp is closer to a load temp. I'm wondering if the card is actually under load, when you think it isn't. Sometimes the card will ramp up for videos on a webpage, your screensaver, or just running Windows Aero. I would install Afterburner and use the GPU temp/usage graphs to see if you truly are running a high temperature with the clocks at stock.

Heythanksfor the quick reply guys, yeah I agree with the people saying that it might have been under a load, because lately it has been idling much lower in the 40 degrees, by the way for the people wondering I have a Cooler Master case that has a few 230 mm fans on it so I dont think its an airflow problem, all the wires are pretty well managed, but I think everythings ok now. Thanksagain for the advise everybody
