Compatible games with aero graphics

Hello,
just bought a IBM intel netvista from a friend,it's about 10yrs old but has been upgraded to window 7 with aero. Can't play my bigfish or any downloaded games. keep saying my video card doesn't support aero effects or something to that degree, didn't know I would have to buy something to play games. What do I do, I love my games?

if the thing is ten years old then it probably has no business running windows 7, if it is a laptop that is ten years old don't expect it to play any games, build a desktop... what are the full system specs of the comp you are talking about, or at least a make and model or serial number
