I upgraded my Toshiba a215-S7414 with a new 250G hard drive and 4Gigs of RAM, along with Windows 7. The specs say the video memory share is dynamically shared 128 to 319MB. After going from 1G to 4G (and showing in CMOS/Win7) is still only takes 128MB for the video (133MB to be exact). I've looked and cannot find a way to manually set it higher, to the expected 319MB, is there something I am missing to boost the video mem share?

(checked CMOS, ATI Catalyst and even control panel - not finding anything)

I had read posts while searching about people trying to knock their shared memory down because the card was set at 320 (most likely meaning 319). I was expecting this to act the same as a business system (desktop) I fixed up a couple years ago that had 64 or 96 shared vid ram until I went from 1G to 3G in the until, at which point it was 256 shared/dedicated to the video. DVDs, Hulu etc played perfectly after that.

Does anyone know if this is set up to adjust "on the fly" when more memory is needed and can't be set at 319MB full time? (and other posts at full settings were just wrong?)
