GTX 295 Multi gpu mode same score as single 3dmark06

Hello,
I have Multi-gpu mode enabled in nvidia control panel but 3dmark06 is only scoring 10500 and thats the same score I get with single-gpu enabled. Why is this?

  1. Hello and welcome to the forums
If you tested at 1280x1024,then it's normal because SLI doesn't scale great on low resolutions(compared to higher resolutions).
Raise the resolution and also test some games too.You can judge the performance better with games
  2. Games run better in single-gpu mode. I have tested with crysis, bad company 2, fallout 3, mass effect 2, and many others all worse in multi gpu mode
  3. Resolution?
  4. 1650x1080
  5. Do you have the latest GPU drivers? also is V-sync on ?
  6. What´s your PSU?
  7. Yes, I have the latest drivers and I have v-sync on. My power supply is the one that came with the dell xps 710, model number n1000p-00 its 1000watts.
  8. Have you tried playing with V-sync off ?
  9. Ya they are both the same fps except vsync has more screen tear
  10. hmm, download GPU-Z and while it's open run a game and play for like 5-10 minutes. Then minimize it(don't close at all),and check the GPU-Z sensors tab(for both cards) and check the temps and GPU usage percentage.

temps were about the same both gpus in the card were at about 70c gpu load was 20% on both
