My computer power supply wont turn off

When I plug in my computer all the fans start up but they won't shut down unless I unplug it. It will not boot up or show anything on the monitor except "no signal" then it goes totally black. What do you suggest I try?

  1. It doesn't appear that your processor is powered, check the 20/24 pin main power and the 4 or 8pin processor power.
  2. Thank you for your response, I think we are just going to get a new computer. Don't know enough about working on them yet, but what you said seems to be working fine. Sometimes the power light on the ps is steady and sometimes it flashes.... don't know what the deal is there. I thought it might be the mobo so I got a new one but that didn't help either. Thanks again for the reply.
