D6 error on new build

Hello,

I have just finished building a new computer with asrock p67 extreme mb and radeon 5770 vga. I am getting a d6 - "no output devices found" error. So it fails to boot. I moved the vga to a different pcie slot but I got the same error. There is a third pcie slot on this mb. I have a monitor connected with a dvi cord, as the vga has dvi and hdmi outputs. Any suggestions here?

I had not connected a pci power connection the vga. Rookie error.
