Hi,
Yesterday I received a Acer 5520/5220 Series MS2210. The owner of the notebook said it couldn't be powered because the power
jack was pushed inside the case. I had nothing to lose so I disassembled the notebook and put the power jack back in place
(like you can see in fig 3).
I reassembled all components and the battery light became orange, so there was nothing wrong with the power jack. The battery
was charging again. When I tried to boot, nothing happened. There is one wire connection the power button with the motherboard
(fig 5 displays the back of the part of the notebook where the power button is located).
Now it is disconnected but it was connected to the motherboard when I tried to boot.
What can be the cause of the problem, has anyone some ideas? When I push the button, nothing happens (no fan, no changing
lights, ...).
Do you think the motherboard is damaged? I know it's difficult to answer my question but I just wanted to have some thoughts to
check.
I added some pictures (the notebook is disassembled again on the pictures)

Thanks in advance
