My PC currently has 4x 2gb sticks of RAM from factory. I just purchased 2x 4gb g.skill ram and am curious if i could simply replace 2 of the 2gb sticks with the 2x 4gb sticks and keep the other 2 2gb modules in. The two new 4gb modules are 1866 but the old ones are 1600. Is this doable or should i just pull all 4 out and stick with the 2x 4gb modules?

It is doable however notice that the 1866 sticks will be slowed down to 1600
I'll second that its doable but not recommended. I would just keep the 4gb of the new memory. It's enough for most usage.
