Computer:
Machine name: DC7600
Operating System: Windows XP Professional (5.1, Build 2600) Service Pack 3 (2600.xpsp_sp3_gdr.101209-1647)
System Manufacturer: Hewlett-Packard
System Model: HP Compaq dc7600 Convertible Minitower
BIOS: Default System BIOS
Processor: Intel(R) Pentium(R) 4 CPU 3.40GHz (2 CPUs)
Memory: 2048MB RAM
Powersupply: 340W
Graphics card: Connect3d radeon x1550.

Will this be ok to use with my computer?

Reason why i'm asking this is my power supply sucks so i need a new one & i will probably get a new graphics card.
Also is this power supply half decent, i don't really want to spend anymore then £40.

Thank You :)

power supplies are one of the important parts in your pc, if your pc was a living thing then it`s the water that it drinks. any 500w or even 400w psu is more than enough for your specs, as long as you buy a good brands such as, corsair, seasonic , cooler master etc, don`t buy chinese brands when it comes to power supplies. here is one that might work for you
http://www.amazon.com/Corsair-Builder-Series-EPS-80-certified/dp/B0092ML1SC/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1406732711&sr=8-1&keywords=corsair+400w
there is even this one
http://www.amazon.com/Cooler-Master-GX-II-Non-Stop/dp/B00E9SWH28/ref=sr_1_4?ie=UTF8&qid=1406732869&sr=8-4&keywords=cooler+master+bronze
couger is also a good brand. just make sure you read reviews before you buy anything and the power efficiency on any power supply you buy must be at least 80bronze.

the psu you want is too powerful for your pc,a 500 or a max 600w psu would be good. The one you wnt is for powerful sstems but would be good if you choose a powerful GPU like GTX 750 coz they require at least 400w
