Hey there, I was preparing to buy 16gb of (4x4) 1600mhz DDR3 with a CAS of 8 and timings of 8-8-8-24 for $140. But I could pay significantly less for the same type of ram with a CAS of 9 and timings of 9-9-9-24. Is the one number lower timing really worth the extra money or will I not notice any performance difference and should just save some money? Thanks.

You will notice the difference if you run benchmarks. Otherwise I doubt you'll even realize it
