Pretty decent. Personally I would have dropped down to 4 GB of RAM and put the extra $$ into a 460 GTX

6.5/10
it would last you 3 years maximum before you go for a new upgrade.

If you don't want criticism don't read this.
1 Expensive motherboard on a dated chipset only reason to get it is for crossfire and you got a GPU that can't.
2 Weak graphics card for gaming too good if your not
3 Poor value cooler
Its not the end of the world though it should still work well just you could have got more for less.

Drop the *green* HDD for the Spinpoint F3 HD103SJ 1TB

Drop 4GB of RAMs

Put cash toward the MSI 890FXA-GD65 AM3 AMD 890FX

That's a slick lookin' case - hopefully, when your PSU blows up it will put on quite a show, too :D

Buy a $70 case and put some of the $$ saved toward a new PSU

Drop the GTS 450 -- hopefully we've squeezed enough cash out to bump you to the $160-range and the HD 6850 1GB

i would have dropped the gts 450 (which i bought too =P) for a ATI 5830, in the UK its cheaper than the gts 450 and 5770 (slightly better than gts 450) and get more FPS than them in benchmarks:

I would say that this is a very good starting build. However I believe that you can add some things to make a more enthusiast build.

It won't handle high end games that's for sure. And for $800 you would be better off just...
