Hello Everyone!

Here is my system

Gigabyte MA790X-UD4P AMD Motherboard
AMD 3.2 Deneb X955 Quad Core
Antec 700 Case
500GB 7200RPM HDD Seagate
Sapphire 4870 1GB ATI
LG 21.5" 1680x1050
4GB DDR2 Memory

I'm looking, since my PSU just recently died (OCZ 750W), for a new PSU and Graphics Card.

Since I have an AMD build, i thought it would be better to stick with AMD/ATI. I'm looking at upgrading from the 4870 1gb to either the HD5870 or the HD6870. Also, I'm going to be getting a new PSU, because PSU just fried and won't work anymore. Any suggestions for a Graphics card and a PSU that will fit into an Antec 700?

Thanks!

Thank you for your comment.

I'm looking at either the HD6870, HD5870, or the HD6950 as possible options.
I'm going with the Corsair 750W 80 PLUS CERTIFIED PSU.

The 6870 is around $215
The 5870 is around $229
The 6950 is around $275

Which one will be worth it in the long run, and how different are they?

Thanks!

in the long run the 6950 would be the best ofc but the most expensive one too, the 5870 is a good card but totally lacks tesselation performance.

the 6870 is a little slower than the 5870 but it has much better tesselation performance.

if you really want something "bang for buck" you should crossfire 2x 6850s, theyre a tiny bit faster than the 5970:) http://www.techpowerup.com/reviews/ATI/Radeon_HD_6850_CrossFire/23.html

well, i'm upgrading my case, processor, memory, and graphics card in addition to the new 750W PSU. The case is bigger, so I want to get one card now, maybe a cheaper ATI card, and then upgrade later with the same card to crossfire. I'm thinking about the 6870 to crossfire. I'm looking for the best and least pricey GOOD upgrade from the 1gb 4870
