Decided on an i5 2500K for my CPU but now shopping around for Mother boards. Hoping to find it on A) Amazon/NewEgg, or Prefer Microcenter pick-up since I'll be getting my CPU from there.

I currently have 2 Sticks of 1333 DDR3 (Will be upgrading to 1600 or so later on) and a 560Ti. I -do- want a mother board that has SLI potential, atleast 1 PCI-E, and 4-6 sticks of RAM (Up to 16GB or 13GB. Either one.) I have a 750W Corsair PSU ATM.

I was looking at an asus board, and http://www.microcenter.com/single_product_results.phtml?product_id=0387629 but I dunno much about the "Z77" type and what-not. I also heard some boards are/aren't OC friendly. I will probably be OCing the 2500 so something that isn't a bottle neck would be cool.

Prefer $100-120 in range. Thanks!

I didn't follow up with the dev as much as I meant too - Does PCI 3.0 carry the backwards compatibility to work with PCI 2.0 x 16 in 560s and what-not as they originally planned?

Any GTX500 series card is only PCIe2.0. They will work just fine in a PCIe3.0 port. All new GTX600 series & AMD HD7000 series cards are PCIe3.0 capable. To get PCIe3.0, you will need to install an IVY Bridge CPU.

As for the MOBO choice, I would second the ASRock Extreme3 Gen3. I have this mobo and its doing great. It has all the features you are wanting with a great price.
