Ok guys. Here's the deal. I've got an older gaming rig with these specs.

Athlon x2 5400+
4gb ddr2 667 ram
320 gb hard drive(though I have a 1 tb seagate I can swap in right now)
9600gt 512 mb
Gigabyte m570 sli-s4 board.

Resolution is 1650x1080.

Times are a little better for my wife and I so I may be allowed to spend around 100 bucks to upgrade. I'm running Vista 64 bit btw.

I am actually going to Microcenter tonight, and they've got a Phenom II 840 with an MSI board that will accept my current ram. Or I'm kicking the idea around of a new video card. Maybe like a 5670 or 6670 or gts 450. What do you think?

Thanks for the info. I do a lot of computer repair for extra cash, so we are always at Microcenter.

I saw this so I'm picking it up.

124 in store, but nice rebate brings it to 75, and I've got a friend who is buying the old 9600gt for 35 bucks. So really, by the time I get the rebates and sell the other card, my upgrade is 40 bucks, and at my resolution I'm thinking the 450 will tide me over for a while.
