External monitor goes darker after booting into windows

It has worked fine for the last two months then today when booting into windows vista once OS finished booting the external(dell) monitor from my laptop went dark and I can barely see my programs when I drag them to my external monitor.

Does the monitor work fine as a primary monitor with another computer?

Otherwise, the monitor might be dying.

Just bought monitor 2 months ago and it works fine with the other laptop yep tried reinstalling the driver too.
