Trying to figure out why I'm having issues with two new power supplies.

A few months ago I upgraded my case and power supply and moved all my hardware over. Everything worked great for about 4 months when the PC started shutting down.

I thought maybe the new PSU was going bad, so I put my old PSU back in and everything worked fine. No shutdowns. Swapped the new PSU back in and the system started shutting down again. I removed it and put the old PSU back in and everything is good.

Today, I decided to break out a 700W Cooler Master PSU that I won a few months ago. Installed that in my PC and the first time I hit the power button I hear a loud alarm type steady beeeeeep. I turned off the power supply, checked connections and tried again. Same beep. I tool the Cooler Master PSU to another PC and connected it and everything powered on fine. No beep.

So, why can my old PSU power my system without issue but these two new units are having issues? Is there something in my system causing this that the older PSU just ignores?

Any thoughts, ideas?

So, you're using the new PSU to power an old TRS-80? You'll need to provide a lot more information about your system.

An nVidia card will generate a loud constant beep if you forget to plug PCI power cables into it. That is about the only thing that will generate a constant beep.

I would recommend reinstalling the new PSU, making sure that all of the cables that your system needs are connected. Then retest. If the same thing happens again, clearly the new PSU is defective.
