Here's what i bought:

Intel Core i5-3570K Ivy Bridge 3.4GHz
ASUS P8Z68-V PRO/GEN3
EVGA 02G-P4-2685-KR GeForce GTX 680
CORSAIR Vengeance 16GB (4 x 4GB)
Crucial M4 CT128M4SSD1 2.5" 128GB SATA III MLC 7mm Internal Solid State Drive (SSD)
COOLER MASTER Silent Pro Gold Series RSA00-80GAD3-US 1000W
COOLER MASTER HAF X Blue Edition RC-942-KKN3

I have a couple questions, first of all I know the motherboard will support ivy bridge with a bios update, but will I be able to put the ivy bridge in and at least have the motherboard post so that I can actually update it? If not, what would a solution be? I have another desktop chip at home but it is an old core 2 duo, could that work?

Also, does anyone have a link to a good guide on how to put it all together? I have taken out individual parts, etc. before but never built one from scratch.

A link to how to update a mobo bios would be nice as well.

Thanks.

Also, on the fence about returning my z68 for a z77. Held off on a z77 because I was worried about bugs since its a newer motherboard. Read a lot of threads already about it, but are motherboads known for being buggy when they first come out? Are the z77's buggy now? How long have they been out? Thanks!

Following this! I have the exact same question. Receiving my case tomorrow which is the final part I need to build this beast.

Did you find your answer somewhere else Stenr?

Well, I went ahead and got the z77 and been running about a week and its been fine. Everything works so I would say go for the z77.

About the z68 supporting ivy bridge enough to post, dunno.
