More about hawk cyclone
  1. The hawk has voltage control so it will be better for overclocking. I wouldn't bother with aftermarket coolers, the 460s don't run that hot even overclocked.
  2. The MSI hawk cards are built to overclock you should get a better overclock out of one due to it being built to do just that, from the voltage control to the cooler everything is designed and built better than a stock card so if you are serious about wanting the fastest you can get then look no further.

    Mactronix :)
  3. Another vote for HAWK.
  4. Hawk, but cyclone is also good :)
  5. hawk of course, the best GTX 460 there is imo.
  6. I have a Cyclone. I like it, but I think the Hawk would have been the better choice.
  7. Hawk, specially designed for overclocking with higher quality parts and custom PCB. The Twin Frozr cooler will be all you need.

Look for the Hawk "Talon Attack" version if you can find it.

hi matto17secs i see that you have a gtx 580 in your rig i was looking around an see that there is a gigabyte superclocked version of this card witch is basically the same as a gtx 570 and is about £225 compared to the msi hawk £150 i was thinking of just gettting one of these at the moment and a second one down the line i just dont know what to do now i mean say the two hawks got to 950ghz each which should be doable would there be any real difference in the two cards so now i have a new dilemma[ 2x gtx 460 hawks now or 1 gigabyte superclocked gtx 560 now and one in say two months time
  9. 1x gigabyte 560 SoC now and another in 2 months sounds like a good plan ;)
  10. The new version of the Gigabyte GTX 560 SOC is clocked at 950 mhz, while the old one was 1000 mhz. The new one can probaly be overcloced to at least 1000 mhz. It's cooler is also one of the quietest.
