Which card is better, I know that you can unlock the 6950 to a 6970, is it easy, is there any risk?
Note: Im probably not crossfiring/sli and if I do I will only do it with 2 cards, im not interested in multiple monitors setup neither in 3D and I probably will play at 1920 x 1080 on a 24 monitor
Also wich model of each card would you recommend

HD6950 is the winner here.
Okay, since you won't use multiple monitors then 1GB version of HD6950 is more than enough, no need to get the 2GB version...

But the 1 gb version cant be unlocked to a 6970 and the price difference is not really an issue, and wich one should I get XFX, Saphire, HIS?

Well, there's always a risk to do flashing things (unlock), so if the price isn't the issue then why don't you just go for HD6970 directly?

But if you want HD6950 2GB so badly then take a look at this:

if you want stable gaming without overclocking/unlocking take GTX 560 AMP! or the normal one would be also OK..

Check benchmarks! In general, the HD6950 is a little stronger, BUT, there are certain games (e.g. Civilization V) in which the GTX560 absolutely smokes the HD6950.

Thanks. I'm guessing you picked whichever one is best for the specific games you play...
