Hello everyone, this is going to be my first time building a new computer, so I could use some help. I've been a console gamer for a while and figured it was time to step up and play on the PC. I'm mainly going to focus on Battlefield 3, so I'll need something that can play that smoothly.

Approximate Purchase Date: In the next couple of weeks

Budget Range: $1000 (if you can get it lower for what I need, please do so)

System Usage from Most to Least Important: Gaming (Battlefield 3)

Parts Not Required: Speakers, keyboard, mouse

Preferred Website(s) for Parts: Newegg.com, Tigerdirect.com, Amazon.com

Country of Origin: USA

Parts Preferences: Intel processor, Windows 7, 1920x1080 22-24" Monitor

Overclocking: if I can

SLI or Crossfire: would be nice to have for later, but not necessary

Monitor Resolution: 1920x1080

Additional Comments: I'd like this to include an OS (Windows 7) and a monitor. Parts wise I don't have that much in mind. I'd say an i5 2500k and a HAF 912 maybe? All help is very much appreciated. Thanks in advance.

the system requirements of the game are unknown. I suggest waiting till the game is near release before building a system around it, that way you can know what works well for it and also alot of new hardware may have come out by then.
