Does installing a PCIE 2.0 card in tandem with a PCIE 3.0 card cause the PCIE 3.

Hello,

I would like to know the behaviour of adding a PCIe 2.0 card to my current setup. Is this a bad idea or what?

Motherboard: Asus rampage iv extreme
CPU: Intel 3930k
VIdeo: 3x7970s PCIe 3.0 graphics cards installed in pcie 3.0 slots

I am adding a Sound card to the 4th PCIe 3.0 slot but the sound card is only PCIe 2.0 compliant.

Will this cause any issues or performance concerns?

Wouldn't think there would be a problem since the 3930K is PCI 2.0 and the mobo specs say it's PCI 2.0 x16/x8/x8/x8 if using all four.
