Geforce GTX 560 Ti FPB issue

Ok so im not incredibly computer savy but i could use some help

I recently just bought a Cougar CMX 1000w PSU and a Geforce GTX 560 TI FPB Graphics Card and have installed it (i think) all correctly, but when i attempt to start my PC i get to the windows 7 start up page where you type in your PW and after that I get different colors and patterns all over my monitor, I have tried several times to uninstall drivers and download new ones but still no luck. I made sure that my PSU was hooked up correctly by using my old video card and that seems to work fine, I just cant seem to get this new card to run correctly If there's any more info I left out and you could use please tell me.

Did you try to update your VGA BIOS?
try this link ( of-course at your own risk!! ):

select your right specifications such as Architecture, manufacturer, etc.
Update using off-Windows.(boot yourself there is a guide also).
