Hey Community!

I've recently switched from an AMD Phenom II B55 (4.0GHZ @ 1.55v) to a FX 8150. How come the max voltage I can ever get is 1.405v, I cant go any higher than that. My bios seems to have limited my voltage to 1.405v now? Is there anyway to unlock it.

I dont know why you switched but anyway.

different CPU generations have different voltage, watts and thermal properties.

have you done a motherboard bios update?

After extensive use, my B55 died, and I couldnt buy another Phenom II's because they stopped selling them. Updating bios right now
