Wireless Bridging -Vs- Access Points

Hi,

Sorry for what im sure is a very simple question.

Basically i have recently been reading about bridging several wireless routers with the view to extend range and connectivity. What i don't understand however is how is this an advantage over simple adding another access point apart from not requiring a cable to be connected to the router/access point.

Thanking in advanced,

Steve

More about wireless bridging access points
  1. The only advantage is that it does not require wiring.
Which might be necessary when going up multiple floors.
  2. Thanks, exactly the answer i was after.

Ps. I cannot see the option to mark this as solved and give 'thanks' to the poster.
