6950 2GB xfire with 6950 1gb ?

Ok here is my question. I have a 6950 2GB flashed over to the 6970. I know you cant flash the 1GB version but If I crossfire the 2GB with the 1GB will I still have the 2GB frame buffer or will the extra mem go to waste. The only reason im thinking of this is by the time I have the money for a second card the 6950's may be locked up. So if I can get the 2GB buffer and save a little cash why not.

no, you will be limited to the card with the lowest amount of memory.
