My pc won't start

Hello,
my pc won't boot whenever i try to turn on my pc nothing happens no lights , no beep sounds , no hd light only one yellow light is glowing on motherboard , from 4-5 days my pc was causing problem , whenever i started my pc it would run for 2-3 minutes and gets off by itself but sometimes it would run for 4-5 hours without getting off and my cmos battery was also faulty at starting it says ' press f1 to go to setup and f2 to load default values ' but i don't think it has something to do with it so please help me guys

my pc specs
Intel core 2 duo E7500 @ 2.93ghz
mobo- asus p5kpl am in
ram - 2gb
hdd - 320 gb

I'd say that one cause is that the cpu is not seated properly, otherwise, the PSU may be faulty?

I think my psu is faulty , its an i ball 250W only but is there a chance that my hard drive is faulty because i can't afford to lose my data , and how can i put cpu properly

A faulty hard drive would not cause this...If you have not touched the CPU and it was working fine before, there should be no need to reseat it.

IMO its PSU that causing trouble check it to your friends pc if it does same then its having problem

Ok so now it conformed that my psu is bad , but i just wanted to ask i'm going to buy xfx ati radeon hd 5770 so which psu will be good for me to use 5770 and for other work , not like my iball cheap psu and one more qustion will my asus p5kpl am in be able to handle 5770 please hepl me .

I'd say at least a quality 450w PSU. Your Asus P5kpl will 'handle' the card fine but you may not see too much improvement if your cpu's not up to it. What are the rest of your system specs?

gpu - intel g31 / 33 express chipset

will 450w will be enough or its just ok and how is my cpu will it use the card will full efficiency .
