I currently have a e8400 based configuration cooled with a Scythe Shuriken Rev.B - SCSK-1100 cooler:
http://www.scythe-usa.com/product/cpu/043/scsk1000_detail.html

On the above page is listed 1366 and 1156 sockets as compatible ones.

Will this cooler also fit on a 1155 socket?

Im almost sure it will, just need to get it confirmed.

honestly if it is not on the Scythe site i would not trust it.

My $0.02, dont buy it unless it says it would fit.

I am using the Hyper 212+ with my build. It doesn't say 1155 (it says 1156, 775, 1366) but it works just fine with my 1155 board. It is my understanding that when it comes to CPU coolers 1156 is equivalent to the 1155.

1156 and 1155 have the same spacing. You are good to go.

You must have opened a discussion thread instead of a question thread. Happened to me once on a different section of the forum, although I'm still not sure how I managed to do it. Well anyway, one of the moderators came and changed it, but I don't know if there is a way to do it yourself.

Ok. Thanks. This thread just have to do without a best answer then, and I will remember next time to open a discussion thread.

Thank you all to make me understand more ;-)

If you want to be able to select a best answer then next time open a "question thread", not a "discussion thread".
