hi...can u tell me,plz?which one is better 2 use on my p5ld2 asus mb?...Intel Pentium Dual E2180-2GHz?...or Intel Pentium D, 2.8 GHz 915 4MB L2 800FSB Processor...which one is the best 4 me?

is it faster?coz i saw that l2 cache is 4mb on Intel Pentium D 915- 2.8 GHz and on Pentium Dual E2180-2GHz is only 1mb

So? If you were moving 300mi away, would you want a car that can drive 100mph with a tiny trunk, or a truck with a 30' bed? Which would take the fewest trips?

Back when the Conroes first came out, the British magazine, PC Pro, tested a lot of CPU's. They did the best they could to equalize all variables except CPU.

The 2.4 GHz E6600 Conroe was about 60% faster that a P4 EE chip.

The improvement that you get from the greatly improved microarchitecture will more than compensate for the smaller cache.
