CPU Temps

Hello,
i was just wondering if the temperature reading of a cpu in my BIOS should be higher than the one on my desktop cpu temp reader. My BIOS gives me temps around 44 degress while my desktop reader give them around 30-36 degrees? Is that normal for the BIOS to have higher temps then idle on my desktop?

In the bios the cpu is essentially in full on state, it doesn't go into idle state until you get to windows. So it is normal.
