Im having some problems with my computers display. The computer was fine when it was turned off yesterday, but this morning when i went to turn it on, nothing came on to the display. The computer started up, beeped once, but the screen just stayed black.
So I switched DVI slots on the back of the video card (ATI 4850) to the one on the right (facing back of computer), and this time the monitor displayed a picture, but it was distorted with about inch wide red and blue vertical lines. Then once it gets past the windows 7 loading screen, it has a memory dump and crashes/restarts. I can start the computer in safe mode and it will work, but the heavy vertical lines are still there and it is pixelated.
Any ideas on what this could be?
