Need help with ram problem

Hello,

I just completed building my first rig today and i currently have a problem. my system runs fine if there is only 1 ram installed but the minute i put in the second stick it cant even start. All i get is a continuous beeping sound. Would appreciate any help asap!

My current specs are as follows:
Gigabyte GA-Z77X-D3H
Intel i5 3570k
2x4GB Corsair Vengeance DDR3
128GB Crucial M4

make sure you put RAM correctly inside socket using MOBO guide

how many beeps do you get long and short? then go on the web and search the beep codes. that will tell you exactly what is wrong.

Post beeps are diagnostics of the error, find a guide on post beeps. Alternatively swap the DIMM's of RAM between the sockets. Sometimes it can't be a matter of try, try and try again before it works. I've had to do this in the past.
