Purpose of build?
What are timings and v on RAM?
What's the case/storage being used?
And what exactly are you trying to compare it to? You need 2 things to do a comparison.

Has this been built or not? If not, I wouldn't purchase half of those parts; you could get much better for your money with an Intel i5-2500K + P67 mobo and a better graphics card.

Ram is CL7, by v I assume voltage, 1.5v
Case is Antec 900
storage is 2 7200rpm, 1TB and 650GB
Not really comparing it to anything just wanted to see what ppl thought of it.

Yes its been built for the last 12 months, Intel is WAY too pricey for me and why would i step down to i5?
If i had known AMD would team up with ATI i would have gone Radeon but i really like the Nvidia cards.

You wouldn't have been "stepping down" to the i5-2500K; it OCs so easily it wipes the i7-900 six cores off the table. It's also not that expensive of a CPU.

Even the i3-2100 keeps pace and even beats the X6s in games, and it's a dual core....

The X6 Ocs easily too, running at 4GHz across all 6 for last 5 months with no fall out. Anyone know where online I can find a device that will let me read the power comsumption of my box? I have seen some adverts for them but I can't find myself.
