CPU: i5 3570k (ivy bridge)

Ram: G.Skill TridentX 16GB DDR3 CL10 2400MHz
4 sticks of 4gb or 2 sticks of 8gb? which formation gives better results? Are they the same under default 2400mHz? What if i plan to OC?
Intel says "Up to dual channel DDR3-1600" can you please explain what exactly it refers to?

IMHO having all 4 slots covered looks better

imo going over 1600mhz is gain of very little performance and i suggest you 2x8GB that because of future upgrading and its eaiser to set high clock compare to 4x4gb

Is there any valid review that indicates that? Should i choose a Corsair Vengeance LP 16GB CL7 and OC it at 1866 or G.Skill Ripjaws Z 16GB CL10 2133MHz and OC it at 2400 (same price)

4 sticks of 4gb or 2 sticks of 8gb? which formation gives better results? Lets say i do have both setups OCed at 2800mhz which one will perform better 4x4 or 2x8? (none seem to be able to answer this particular question)

as i said already 2x8 is better because of future upgrade + easy to set higher clock than 4x4gb + better air flow + less heat
