Hello everybody,
hope you can help me with some troubles of my pc.

I have the following hardware
Jetway BI-600, Intel X58+ICH10R, Socket 1366, 6xDDR3 Dual/3, 2xGbLAN, Audio8.0,
6xSATA2-RAID, 2xESATA, 4xPCIe16
Intel Core i7-950, 4x 3.06GHz, boxed
3*Elixir DIMM 2048MB PC3-10667U CL9 (DDR3-1333)
Force3D HD4350 | 512MB DDR2 | VGA, DVI, TV-Out (HDTV) | PCIe 2.0
DVDRW Samsung SH-S222L DVD Writer, Lightscribe, bulk (schwarz), IDE
Cardreader 20 in 1, 3.5", USB 2.0, schwarz
Samsung SpinPoint F1 1000GB, 32MB Cache, SATA II
TP-Link TL-WN651G, WLAN PCI-Adapter, 108Mbps, PCI
Netzteil ATX, 530 Watt, 12cm-Lüfter

The system was working fine for one year, but now when I press the power on button,
lights goes on and the system starts, but after 3 seconds lights are switched off and nothing
happens, after 2 or 3 second of absolut quietness system is starting again but the red light
for the harddisk isn't coming and nothing happens again, just the green light is on and the cooler
is running, but no piep of a BIOS and also no screen display.
So I press the power button again for 3 or 4 seconds to switch of the system and press than
again to start my pc. Now he is starting whitout any stops of 3 seconds and in 70 % the red
light are going on an the system starts including piep of BIOS and everything is fine. But sometimes
I have do try it for a third or a fourth time, before he comes up.

So my question, is it normal for a I7 that he makes such a short break during the start up, I cant
remember that he has done so in the first year and he is doing this just when you switch on the pc
for the first time for the day. He isnt doing such a break when you reboot it.
Second question is, what can be the reason, that i have to start at least two and sometimes more often
to get the system running, board, power supply or my favorite disk??

Hope somebody can help, thaks in advance Ron

Does your pc run fine when you work in windows, play games?

Open your case and short the power prongs or power switch connectors using a jumper or screwdriver (not more than 2 seconds or until system starts up) could be something wrong with the power button on your case not sending a good enough signal to your board to power it up.

Clear the cmos (refer to your motherboard's manual) by removing the battery and leaving it out for 2-5 or 10 minutes, remember to turn off your pc and unplug the power cord before doing that. After clearing the cmos go to your bios and load optimized defaults save and exit.

Test with another power supply, memory, graphics card

Disconnect all devices from your pc like external hdd's, flash drives, game controllers, also disconnect your dvd drive and card reader.

Your power supply is not good quality (never heard of it) , even if it's still working fine i would recommend getting something like this: Corsair Builder Series™ CX600 V2 — 80 PLUS® Certified Power Supply or the cx500 version
