my laptop has a couple of problems . . . not booting up at start, or freezing at random times when working.
Every time i have a problem with it i can solve it by turning it off, taking the ram out and putting it back in and re-booting. When i do this it starts again every time no problem. then sometimes it will work for hours, or die again in 5 mins. i re-do the ram procedure and it goes again,
i've run memtest86 and it says the ram is fine.
but one of the things that made me think it was the ram is sometimes when i try to start it up i get those bios post-code beeps (usually 1beep,then 3, 4, and 3) which i think from googling is a ram error.
Does anyone know what is going on?
Could i still have a ram problem that memtest doesn't pick up? 'cause when i'm running the test, the computer is obviously running fine?
