Quick CPU question

For my gaming Pc I have a i5 2500k intel CPU with the Asus p8p67 ws revolution mobo. I'm wondering if it's worth it to upgrade me CPU to the http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16819115066 (for gaming purposes)?

No, its not as good and will not fit into your motherboard.

Are you crazy?? the i5-2500K is actually a better chip since it can overclock like hell. Of course it misses hyperthreading but the overclocking potential is more than worth it. Personally I would never touch any first generation i3/5/7 since the second generation is better performing. Anyways the socket 1366 (used for first generation i7) is now abandoned by Intel.
