im getting a new pc mainly for hardcore gaming so im confused about those 2 processors so should i get
intel Core i5-2400 3.1 GHz with Asus P8H67-M LE motherboard
or
AMD Phenom II X4 965 with ASUS M5A97 Socket AM3+ motherboard
and here is the rest of the build (was built for core i5-2400) if anything is incompatible with the amd mobo and processor
Case:NZXT Hades dusnt matter anyway
GPU:Galaxy GTX 560 GC
RAM:2x(4 GB kingston 1333MHz V1.5)
HDD:500 GB WesterDigital Caviar Blue SATA 6 GB/s 16 MB cache
PSU:Antec Basiq 550w
Notes:
i dont care bout price i can get both
dont think about i5-2500k its out of range of my budget
if there is another amd processor better than this 1 for gaming tell me cos this 1 is really cheap
if u r not sure about ur answer write that with the post
Edit:i can get this processor as well AMD Phenom™ II X4 970 3.5GHz 8MB cache

i5 is better all the way around for now. Unless bulldozer is a huge leap ahead for amd. Since BD comes out in September, you should probably wait and see what happens. You are almost guaranteed a price drop on the Intel stuff next month if Bulldozer is remotely competative.

The AMD Phenom II X4 965 with ASUS M5A97 Socket AM3+ motherboard.

The PhII 965BE is on eBlast for $115 -- most likely the difference in price between the CPU/mobo combos would bump you to GTX 570, maybe even HD6970, territory.

If you stick with the Intel build you really need to do better than an H67 mobo ...
