This is my first build, so if anything seems to basic to mention, it probably isn't! This is mostly used with 3ds Max, Maya, Rhino, Adobe suite and It's a windows 7 machine

Thanks for the input

Approximate Purchase Date: ASAP

Budget Range: 2000-2500
System Usage from Most to Least Important: 3d modeling, 3d rendering, image editing, video editing

Parts Not Required: keyboard, mouse, monitor, speakers, OS

Preferred Website(s) for Parts: Newegg.com

Country of Origin: US

Parts Preferences: Intel sandy bridge processor and an nvidia quadro card

Overclocking: Maybe

SLI or Crossfire:Maybe

Additional Comments: Won't be doing any gaming on this machine, its all for model production, rendering, and image and video editing.

Questions:

Is everything compatible?

First build, am I missing anything??

Do the two storage drives seem to make sense? I'm producing around 2 GB of material a day that is being stored on the machine for periods of time, and running multiple 3d modeling programs at once.

Is the power supply excessive?

Is the extra cooling necessary? I saw the negative reviews of the 'pin system' that made me think yes...

Have you had good experiences with acronis true image?
