I had 6gb of XMS3 DDr3 1600mhz ram in my board (ASUS Sabertooth X58) I decided i wanted to get a new HDD so i did. While i was at microcenter, i also decided to get 6 more gigs of ram and fill up all my slots and have a total of 12 gigs. Anyway, long story short, I Put the ram and reinstall windows on my new HDD, and in BIOS it only says there is 2 gigs of ram. Also says that in Control Panel > System. I take the 3 sticks out that i just bought, and turn my computer back on, And now it says that there is 4gb of ram when there is actually 6. Why isnt my Board seeing all 12 gigs. Btw, CPU-Z reads all 12, but my bios doesnt. Anything I can do to get all 12 gigs up and running?
