Hi i have a 2600k on z68.

1.i want to know does it need any graphics driver to use the CPU graphics? i mean the 850 MHz. is it working automatically?

2.how to overclock it? i want to buy a good fan for overclocking.

Solution
1.) You need drivers for the integrated graphics to work. It will work without the drivers, Just not optimally (e.g. DirectX features cannot be enabled, etc). Check out the links below for the drivers (works for all 2nd generation intel core processors, Intel HD 2000 or 3000).

64-bit Windows Vista/7 drivers - http://downloadcenter.intel.com/Detail_Desc.aspx?agr=Y&ProdId=3231&DwnldID=20037&ProductFamily=Graphics&ProductLine=Laptop+graphics+controllers&ProductProduct=Intel%c2%ae+HD+Graphics&lang=eng
32-bit Windows Vista/7 drivers - http://downloadcenter.intel.com/Detail_Desc.aspx?agr=Y&ProdId=3231&DwnldID=20036&ProductFamily=Graphics&ProductLine=Laptop+graphics+controllers&ProductProduct=Intel%c2%ae+HD+Graphics&lang=eng

2.) How to...

Yes, you need a driver to use any graphics device properly. It will run using VGA compatibility well enough to load the driver. You should find a suitable driver on the CD that came with the motherboard.

Over-clocking is dependent upon the motherboard, but basically you change the CPU multiplier.

do you need to over clock it? if you are asking about drivers and how to OC, leads me to believe you are a mid level to novice user... do you really need to OC? you have a very fast powerful chip. nothing on the market will use what it can offer yet.

before/if you do OC, chances are you need to buy the fan first. if you are using the stock cooler, dont even bother trying. it wont kep it cool enough, and you risk cooking your ship.

There are excellent walk through stickied here at top of forum. they contain all your OC answers.

There is no driver in my Intel CPU box. But Intel says that it has a HD 3000 graphics (2600k has) i mean how to enable that? ?I have a HIS 6950 2gb but i want to use both my HIS and Intel GPUs. Is my motherboard using the GPU of 2600k automatically?

Drivers always come with the motherboard but would suggest you download the latest version sometimes found on the mobo website or the manufacturer of each component. Intel graphics drivers can be found on the intel site.

If you have your monitor plugged into the graphics card then your igpu (integrated graphics) is off. Z68 should come with virtu, a program that will let you virtualize the igpu so that you can use both the card and igpu at the same time but is really only useful if you want to use quick sync. Alternatively you can plug you monitor in the mobo and you'll be using the igpu and disable the discrete card. Then use virtu to virtualize the discrete, although I would not recommend this. Or you can have multiple monitors and have a monitor in each to enable them both without virtu.

I'm guessing this pc is for video encoding since you want to OC and use quicksync?

2.) How to overclock is not a simple question to answer, you are going to have to do a little research. As to buying a good fan, I assume you mean heatsink/fan. A good cheap one is the Hyper 212+.
