AMD liano A8-3850

Hi, Guys this vikas need help i bought an AMD Liano A8-3850 2.9GHZ,Gigabyte Motherboard Model No: A75M-D3JH,Antec 300 Cabinet,450watts PSU,Coolermaster HSF [Hyper212+] Dual Fan ,16GB Corsair XMS DDR3 1600MHZ
Can i use this system for rendering purpose i use 3DS Max,MAYA,actually before this i was having AMD PHENOMII X4 965BE With Gigabyte 880 chipset board since my graphic card got expire ,so planned to go for apu and later on upgrade it with ati graphic card so, i wana know is apu better then phenomII x4 965 BE? in case of rendering and working in 3DSMAX AND MAYA

You would have got a much better system by just getting a graphics card for the 965BE which is a far superior processor.

Yip, defo a step back, but then again they rank the Llano better than the X 4's.

Llano is basically an Athlon II X4 processor with built in graphics, it's 32nm instead of 45nm and some other changes, but performance and architecture is still that of K10(Phenom, Athlon II, Phenom II chips are all K10).

That A8 3850 is a little slower than your old Phenom II 965 primarily because of the lower clock speed.

Its a nice chip, but APU's are still in their infancy right now, I think they are really interesting nonetheless, I would like to do a basic HTPC build with a Llano setup.

Stick to the Phenom II for raw power, but I'm curious about the "graphics card expired" thingy.

Did the video card broke? Are you running on the integrated graphics? If so, instead of getting the whole system, buy a discrete card and use it for rendering. nVidia should be a good call thanks to CUDA. You could aim for a GTX460 or higher.

ya due to my grpahic card broke down i buyied tht amd apu A8-3850 so tht i can use my system for rendering and can upgrade it with good graphics card later on so apu isnt good for rendering machine

also i choose AMD APU instead of pehom only coz phenom wasnt having tht graphics facility so though of getting amd amd apu and use its dicrete lvl graphic for temp then upgrade it to amd apu+gpu

It would have been cheaper to just a buy a GPU for you Phenom, it would have given you better performance.
