Hello,

Thermaltake Midtower (4 fans: front and side sucking air in, rear and top blowing out)
GPU: EVGA GTX 470 overclocked

I am having high temperatures with my GTX 470 while playing games like Bad Company 2 with everything maxed out. Idle temp is around 40 and while playing it stays around 90-93. How can I get to around 80-85?

Possible ideas:

-Apply new thermal paste?
-Take off GPU case and add a 80mm fan under it (Runs hotter! 95-98)?
-Take out side panel with attached fan?
-Keep GPU case on and add a VGA cooling fan?
-Take off GPU case and add VGA cooling fan?

Any suggestions??
-Thanks

Now that I have done my cooler suggestion. Reapply new compound and clean the stock cooler. Add an extra fan if possible that will blow air towards the card.

Thanks for all the links. Just to be sure, I have to keep the case open with those fans on the GPU right?
