Do any of you guys think it is worth the wait to put off a build  for a couple of weeks?
will AMD over take Intel sales or force them to lower prices as some have speculated!
in other words say I am putting together  an i5 2500k pc how much savings or bang for buck are we talking?

Are amd new CPUs like buying an i7 for i5 prices?

Solution
If you can wait go ahead, we don't know the performance on the Bulldozer CPUs, or the price points. It's not too long away if you don't mind waiting.

I don't think that Bulldozer will beat Sandy Bridge, will match it at best. Their flagship will probably launch at $250 and be about comparable to the 2500k...but the architecture is so radically different than anything AMD or Intel has ever done, so it's hard to compare them apples-to-apples.

I love pure fanboy speculation.

I mean nobody knows anything, so giving your hypothesis about something in the future is just....well....speculation with zero facts.
AMD is very careful not to leak anything these days because it has backfired on them in the past.
