Why isn't my pc booting up?

Oh dear, ok well I got a new case. So all I did was move the parts from my old case to my new case. I have everything plugged in except the hard drive (waiting for a new hd) so I decide to power it up to see if everything is good... all that happens is the fans spin up. I don't see anything on screen and the leds don't light up?
