Does anyone know (or suspect) when Dell will release new models of
notebook or laptop computers? I need to buy one in the next 2-3 months
but I would like to buy Dell's most up-to-date model when I purchase.
Thanks.

They don't publicise such info for the fear the public would stop buying the
current models.

Yes, and that's why no-one knows. It really is a closely guarded
secret. The people who know for sure have a large financial stake in
keeping the secret.
To answer the original question, they always release a new model a
week or two after I've bought a new machine. 8*) Haven't bought one
lately, though, so that doesn't help.

If anything, such "leaks" come usually from the Apple camp, at least to the
best of my knowlegde :-)

The flip side of that is getting a computer that becomes obsolete. That's
important if you're buying the Inspiron line, because they make some pretty
substantial changes when they update the line. But if you get the business
Latidude line and get a Latitude D, they'll just add faster processors,
etc., but keep the basic design for quite a while.
