I have some promotional codes saved up on amazon and i can get the AMD CPU HDZ955FBGMBOX Phenom II X4 955 Black Edition 3.2GHz AM3 125W for $94.99 will everything still work if i get the HD6850 along with everything else that was listed above. Or should i just stick with the X3 or i3 and go for a bigger video card? Thanks for the replies this has been really helpful

id say at $95, the phenom x4 is probably the best choice. keep in mind, however, that amd's new cpu line, bulldozer, will be launching within 1 month, so waiting may truly be your best bet. for current games, which dont necessarily make the best use of 4 cores, the i3-2100 performs the same as or better than the phenom x4s.

^ Buy 1 or 2 additional fans for the case for the front intake and side as the case has only 2 stock fans and the graphic card would vent out hot air back into the case,...

^ The 6850s will handle 2 monitors without any issues, just plug it in the 2nd DVI/ HDMI slot and have to select Multiple Monitors from the Properties,...
