Antec 902 Nine Hundred Two GPU space

Hey,

I'm thinking of putting together a system with a Gigabyte P67A-UD7 Intel P67, Core i7-2600K, Akasa Venom CPU Cooler and 2 GTX 580s, in an Antec 902. I've heard however that that case has some issues with space for the GPUs.

Does anyone have experience with this or suggestions for other cases? Bearing in mind that my three priorities are dust filters, relative quiet and space.

Thanks,

Zeal

  1. whats your case budget?
  2. Around 150 pounds I suppose.
  3. Apologies for the double post, seems I can't edit my last post.

Having a look a the cases you suggested now. That Raven is fantastic but, and I should have mentioned this at the start, I plan on using SSDs, which need 2.5" bays, I don't suppose they can be adapted to fit the Ravens 3.5" ones?
  4. I think it comes with 1 adapter bracket.. and SSDs often come with brackets as well, check your SSDs

Indeed, this picture illustrations where it is installed: http://www.hardwaresecrets.com/fullimage.php?image=18466
Which is from this review: http://www.hardwaresecrets.com/article/SilverStone-Raven-RV02-Case-Review/789

I haven't really found much useful about what size of graphics cards the Antec 900/902 cases can hold, the figures which I have seen stated are 44cm, which I don't believe. It would only be possible IMO if, when you remove the HDD mounting system it is possible for the graphics card to extend beyond where the bays start, but to achieve this you would have to not use one of HDD cages.
  6. thats the old version of the Raven.. RV02-e is the new version, it has a better HDD mounting system all around
  7. I am not aware of the differences between the old version of the Raven and RV02-e (yet).

This appears to be a review of the RV02-e:
    http://www.overclockersonline.net/reviews/silverstone-raven-rv02-e-case/
Which seems to show an SSD bracket which gets installed in the same location as in the old version.
